First of all, before meeting for the signing of the lease, you must send the regulations of the building to the tenant. To do this, you can use the APQ regulations, but make sure you have the most recent version of them.
Moreover, the new version includes restrictions that concern the cultivation and smoking of marihuana.

Tenants must be given enough time to review the regulations prior to signing the lease.

Abiding by the lease may seem like an easy task at first glance; this may well be true. However, one should be careful not to be mistaken:
If you make an error in the lease it is very likely to be final.

For instance, we often see errors concerning the duration of the lease or the amount of the rent. We quickly register the price before the raise that was sent to the former tenant and we make a mistake that will haunt us for a long time. We put the wrong duration in the lease, or we forget to include the provisions on the solidarity of the lease.

In short, the lease must be prepared properly before the signing day in order not to forget anything. Many landlords have problems filling out the lease and find it difficult to understand and too colourful.

Take the time to read it and attend our training sessions specifically designed to help you understand the various details that have to be taken into consideration.
