Composting, a habit to adopt?

In recent years, there is an increasing awareness in regard to the environment. Companies and cities get organized; it becomes easier therefore to take concrete steps to reduce our environmental footprint. Composting is a good example. According to Statistics Canada, between 2006 and 2013, the number of households that practise composting increased from 13% to 45% (1).

Bank of Canada maintains overnight rate target at 1/2 per cent

The Bank of Canada today announced that it is maintaining its target for the overnight rate at 1/2 per cent. The Bank Rate is correspondingly 3/4 per cent and the deposit rate is 1/4 per cent.

The global economy is progressing largely as the Bank anticipated in its January Monetary Policy Report (MPR). Financial market volatility, reflecting heightened concerns about economic momentum, appears to be abating.

The Association of Quebec Landlords meets the new President of the Régie du Logement

Me Morin, who is a lawyer, has been at the presidency of the Régie du Logement since July 3, 2015, date at which ended the mandate of Luc Harvey, who had been in office since 2008.
Me Morin was administrative judge and vice-president of the Régie du Logement. She entered the Régie in 1979 as legal counsel and special clerk.

The APQ took advantage of this first meeting to review all the current claims of rental housing owners in presenting the arguments striving to reform the current rental law which is too restrictive for owners of rental housing buildings.
